ViewLux Fence Installation: The Fort Lauderdale Owner’s Guide
We install and replace ViewLux fence panels, posts, and full runs across Fort Lauderdale, with most projects falling between $3,500 and $9,000 installed. If you have a cracked ViewLux panel, a post that shifted in sandy soil, or hardware that rusted through after a few hurricane seasons, we can usually get it swapped within a week, not a month. Most owners discover the problem after a storm: a panel bows, the aluminum frame separates from the vinyl insert, or the gate stops latching because the post has drifted out of plumb.
ViewLux isn’t a brand you’ll find on every fence truck in Broward County. It’s a luxury vinyl fence line, usually sold through a specific channel of installers, and the aluminum-reinforced panels are built differently than the box-store vinyl you see in Victoria Park or Coral Ridge. That matters because generic repair methods often make a ViewLux fence look worse, not better. We know the material, we know the local failure points, and we write the price down before a tool comes off the truck.
Which ViewLux Models This Applies To

ViewLux vinyl fencing generally comes in one of three panel profiles: a full-privacy tongue-and-groove panel, a semi-privacy board-on-board panel, and a picket-style panel with routed rails. There’s also a coordinating gate system that uses the same post profile. The key compatibility gotcha: ViewLux posts are typically 5″ x 5″ aluminum-reinforced square posts, and the panels slide into routed channels on the post faces. That’s a tighter fit than most vinyl fences, where panels screw to brackets. If you have an older ViewLux fence from before the aluminum-core posts, the panels may measure slightly thinner. We always measure the channel before ordering, because guessing wrong means a panel that rattles or won’t seat.
The OEM versus aftermarket decision matters here. ViewLux has specific color codes (white, tan, and sometimes a clay tone, depending on the year of purchase), and the finish is a semi-gloss cap stock. Aftermarket panels don’t always match after five years of Florida sun, especially on a south-facing run in Rio Vista. We’ll price the OEM panel and a quality aftermarket equivalent side by side so you can decide with your eyes open. If your fence is older or you’re not sure what you have, the post cap or panel underside often carries a small ViewLux stamp or a batch number.

Signs Your ViewLux Fence Installation Is Failing
Here’s what we see on ViewLux fences in Fort Lauderdale, and why it happens:
- Panel bowed or cracked near the middle rail: The aluminum insert is doing its job, but the vinyl skin has split from expansion in direct sun. Once water gets inside the panel, the bow accelerates.
- Post leaning at the gate or on a corner: Sandy soil near the Intracoastal settles, and a 5″ post with a heavy gate can shift out of plumb in three to five years. The post isn’t always broken; the footing needs to be re-set deeper.
- Gate sagging or dragging on the latch side: The hinge screws have enlarged their holes in the post, or the gate frame has flexed. Tightening rarely fixes ViewLux gates for long; the fix is re-drilling with structural screws or a hinge plate.
- White chalky residue on the panel face: That’s the cap stock oxidizing. It’s cosmetic, not structural, but it’s an early warning that the panel is losing its UV protection and will become brittle over time.
- Panel lifts out of the post channel in high wind: ViewLux panels rely on the channel fit. If the post spread even a quarter-inch, the panel can rattle and, in a strong storm, climb out. This is common on long runs in Plantation with no mid-run bracing.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For a full ViewLux fence installation in Fort Lauderdale, you’re looking at $3,500 to $9,000, and the spread depends on three things: linear footage, how many posts need new footings, and whether we’re matching an existing style or installing everything fresh. A single panel replacement with one reset post usually runs toward the lower end. A 100-foot run with multiple leaning posts, gate hardware, and disposal of the old fence lands toward the top.
Every quote includes the parts, concrete, labor, and haul-away of the old material. There’s no change order at the end unless we hit something underground that wasn’t on the original scope, and we’ll tell you and get approval before that happens. The workmanship is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if something isn’t right inside a year, we come back and make it right, in writing. No argument, no chase.
We’re an independent Fort Lauderdale contractor, not a ViewLux dealer or affiliate. That’s a good thing for you: we can match your existing fence with OEM parts, or recommend an aftermarket equivalent if the wait on OEM isn’t working for your timeline.
DIY or Call Us?
ViewLux fence work lives in that middle zone. Replacing a single panel by sliding it out of the post channels is something a careful homeowner can try, provided the posts are straight and the panel isn’t under tension. What gets people into trouble is the concrete. A leaning post almost always needs a new footing, and digging out a 5″ square post set 30 inches deep in South Florida soil, then re-setting it plumb, level, and square, is a full Saturday and a lot of sweat. If you mix the concrete too wet or don’t brace the post properly, it’ll be leaning again by next hurricane season.
Gates are the other one. A ViewLux gate carries real weight, and if the post isn’t solid, no hinge replacement will fix the sag. If you’re not sure whether your post is salvageable, call us at (754) 354-7423. Luca Romano will tell you straight what’s worth fixing and what isn’t, and the estimate is free.
FAQs

A properly installed ViewLux fence in Fort Lauderdale typically lasts 15 to 20 years, with the aluminum-reinforced posts lasting longer than the vinyl panels. The real killer here is salt air and UV: fences within a mile of the beach in Harbor Beach or Las Olas Isles tend to fade and stiffen faster than inland runs. If you’re seeing hairline splits at year 12, you’re right on schedule. Call (754) 354-7423 and we’ll assess what can be salvaged.
No, not in a way that holds up. Vinyl cap stock can’t be glued or patched cleanly; the repair always shows and the panel keeps expanding and contracting around the repair point. For most Fort Lauderdale homeowners, the smarter play is replacing the damaged panel or section. The good news is we can usually match the color and profile without replacing the whole run.
A single panel swap usually takes half a day, including setting the new panel and removing the old one. A full fence with multiple post footings typically runs two to three days, depending on soil conditions and access. We set every post in concrete and let it cure before hanging panels, so there’s no shortcut on that part of the job. You’ll have a schedule before we start, and photo updates as the work progresses.
We keep common ViewLux post caps, gate hardware, and standard white and tan panels on hand in our Fort Lauderdale stock. Specialty colors or custom panel lengths may need a brief order, and we’ll tell you the lead time before you commit to anything. We also stock parts for KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone on the remodel side, but for fence work, ViewLux specifics are what we keep closest.
